Singapore, 21 October 2022 – Various stakeholders, including key sponsors and volunteers were lauded at this evening’s annual appreciation event for their unwavering support and steadfast belief in the social cause for ex-offenders and families. The theme of the event “You’re Our Superstars!” recognised that the work of ISCOS and NeuGen, a co-operative for reformed offenders and a charity empowering their children and families respectively, would not be made possible without the support on various fronts.

ISCOS taps on technology to engage newly released ex-offenders through new Mobile App and sponsored smart phones with mobile plans under Project ‘Give A Line, Change A Life’

Singapore, 9 December 2019 – To help ex-offenders familiarise themselves with technology and adjust to current trends, the Industrial & Services Co-Operative Society (ISCOS) has launched a new mobile app to provide a platform of communication for its members who are freshly released from the prison.

ISCOS ReGen Fund is officially recognised as a registered charity with IPC status

Singapore, 20 March 2019 – The ISCOS ReGen Fund (IRF) is pleased to announce that it has been officially approved as an Institution of a Public Character (IPC) with effect from 15 March 2019. With the IPC status, all donations made to IRF will be eligible for 2.5 times tax deduction.

Children of inmates and ex-offenders recognised for academic excellence through bursary awards

Singapore, 14 December 2018 – 315 students were recognised for their hard work and effort through the annual Bursary Award initiative by Industrial & Services Co-Operative Society Ltd (ISCOS) and ISCOS ReGen Fund this year. Exclusively for children from low-income families of inmates and ex-offenders, a total of $96,200 was awarded to recipients from primary to tertiary levels.

ISCOS presents bursary awards and book grants to children of current and former offenders

Singapore, 22 December 2017 - This morning, ISCOS awarded close to $40,000 worth of bursaries to 133 deserving students at the annual ISCOS Bursary Award Ceremony, in recognition of their hard work and perseverance in 2017.

Held at the MDIS Auditorium at Stirling Road, the ceremony was graced by the presence of Mr Amrin Amin, Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Health as the Guest of Honour. Amidst the rounds of applause and cheers from their families, the recipients were beaming with pride as they received the awards from the Guest of Honour on stage.

ISCOS unveils new orientation programme to help reintegrate ex-offenders to society

Singapore, 13 September 2017 – Hoping to ease the reintegration of ex-offenders who have served long-term imprisonment through education and sharing of basic knowledge after their release, the Industrial and Services Co-operative Society Limited (ISCOS) launched a new orientation initiative earlier this year.

Aptly named as Project ReConnect, the programme aims to help newly-released ex-offenders to familiarise and reconnect with the community around them. Held at least once every two weeks, the project is targeted at ex-offenders who have served at least three years in prison, to attend in the initial weeks after their release. It is a full day programme starting with a brief orientation covering selected topics such as employment, housing and medical matters, followed by a community tour to places such as Community Centres, MRT stations, grocery stores and other places.

ISCOS partners professional footballer Antoine Viterale to launch new soccer initiative at ISCOS Family Day

Singapore, 15 July 2017 – Amidst the excitement and boisterous cheers from the crowd this morning, ISCOS officially unveiled the Soccer 4 Champions (“S4C”) Programme today at its Family Day held at ORTO today.

Targeting beneficiaries with ages ranging from 11 to 16 years old, the S4C Programme is the latest initiative rolled out under the Fairy Godparent Programme (FGP), in a bid to enhance the children’s overall well-being through sports. By nurturing a fervent passion and commitment in soccer, the long term goal is to develop strong discipline, focus and resilience among the participants, which are essential to positive character building in their years of growing up.

ISCOS and Goldbell Foundation give hope to children of ex-offenders through bursary awards under the Fairy Godparent Programme

Singapore, 4 December 2015 – Close to $60,000worth of bursaries were distributed to over 150 needy students at the Goldbell-YRF-ISCOS Bursary Award presentation ceremony held at the Queenstown Community Centre today. Fully sponsored by Goldbell Foundation in conjunction with its 35th anniversary and SG50 celebration, the awards were presented to children of former and existing offenders from low-income families. They were awarded between $300 and $500 each, depending on the respective levels of education, spanning primary, secondary and tertiary levels.

“Chasing Your Dream” 2015 event inspires underprivileged youth and children to pursue their dreams

Singapore, 27 September 2015 – The Industrial & Services Co-operative Society Ltd (ISCOS), a co-operative which provides social assistance to ex-offenders and their families, organised its first ever "Chasing Your Dream" event today. In collaboration with Singapore Motor Sports Association (SMSA) and Valencia Club de Fútbol (Valencia CF), the event gathered a total of 40 sports cars and luxury cars to offer an exclusive 30-minute ride to beneficiaries of the Yellow Ribbon Fund-ISCOS Fairy Godparent Programme (FGP), flagged off from Big Splash at East Coast Park.

Kampung-style Family Day draws ex-offenders closer to their loved ones through nostalgic-themed activities and games

Singapore, 12 September 2015 – A total of 350ex-offenders and their family members participated in the ISCOS Family Day 2015 organised by ISCOS (Industrial & Services Co-operative Society Ltd) today, in collaboration with Goldbell Foundation (Goldbell) and law firm, Baker & McKenzie.Wong & Leow. Revolving around the theme of Bonding in True Kampung Style, the young and old enjoyed themselves in various old-school activities such as yesteryear’s childhood games and other recreation lined up at Siloso Beach, Sentosa Island.

Project LEAP to help 50 disadvantaged households for SG50

25 April 2015 – In conjunction with Singapore’s 50th birthday, ISCOS (Industrial & Services Co-operative Society Ltd), a co-operative for ex-offenders, has embarked on an ambitious project to help 50 households. Titled the “Learning Environment Assistance Project (LEAP)”, physical study areas will be installed in the homes of needy families to provide a conducive study environment for school-going children. Other home improvement assistance such as painting will also be provided where needed.

The fun activities and games of the family day inside River Safari revolved around the theme ”River of Hope”.

Project LEAP gives needy ex-offenders’ households proper home study environment

ISCOS (Industrial & Services Co-operative Society Ltd), a Co-operative for ex-offenders, has started its first series of Learning Environment Assistance Project (LEAP). The initial phase is currently underway and will benefit a total of 21 children from seven needy ex-offenders’ households.

375 Ex-offenders to Benefit from New Training Programme

The Industrial & Services Co-operative Society Ltd (ISCOS), a co-operative for ex-offenders, and the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) today unveiled a collaborative effort to enhance the employability of ex-offenders at a Job Fair organised by ISCOS. Known as the SOAR (Strengthening Opportunities, Advocating Resilience) Programme, the initiative is designed to provide holistic training and employment assistance for ex-offenders. Some 375 ex-offenders are expected to benefit from the programme over the next two years.

Underprivileged Children Receive Bursary For Good Grades

A total of 216 needy students from primary to junior college levels, including those from families of ex-offenders, received bursaries today ranging from $300 to $500. The bursary served as a reward to the students for receiving above average results in their final examinations this year, despite challenging family situations.
