ISCOS Members' Kids Explore Their Creativity in a Cupcakes Decoration Workshop
Singapore, 25 June 2010 – ISCOS (Industrial & Services Co-Operative Society Ltd) in collaboration with CareShop de Café (CDC) organized a Cupcakes Decoration Workshop exclusive for ISCOS members' children. Accompanied by their mums, 15 kids attended the workshop which aims to develop creativity on the kids, instill self- confidence, and serve as a bonding time with their mums.
The activity is under Fairy Godparent Programme (FGP), a major initiative of ISCOS which provides support to members’ kids through a series of enrichment and educational activities. FGP is now on its 3rd year of running.
CareShop de Café’ Head Chef Khaled Sharafodden demonstrated cupcakes decoration techniques, to the delight of the kids. Those with the best decorated cupcakes received a prize from CDC.
The workshop is part of a month-long charity drive by CDC, in which the company volunteered to sell cupcakes in order to raise funds in support of the Fairy Godparent PRogramme. To date, CDC has sold more than 1,000 cupcakes, of which 50% of the proceeds will go to FGP.
“We are very glad to do an activity like this with the ISCOS FGP kids. We know how tough life is for them, so we hope we are able to bring a smile on their faces, as they take pride on their own creativity,” shares Pauline Soh, Business Consultant of Careshop de Café.
