On 9 November 2019, staff and volunteers of all ages joined forces to give a beneficiary’s flat a facelift with a fresh coat of paint. We were happy to help spruce up their home and make it a more conducive environment for all the family, especially the children.

A few days later, we visited the house again on 14 November to celebrate the birthday of one of their children! The family had also invited some of their neighbours and friends over to share the good food, kindly sponsored by Neo Group for our birthday home visits, and be a part of this happy occasion. Here are some thoughts from Angelina, our staff who has been working with this family:

“The ten-year-old birthday boy and his siblings were eagerly waiting for our arrival. At the door, his sister exclaimed, “I’m waiting for you and I miss you!” It’s on days like these that I see the power of people coming together – our kind partners, sponsors, and volunteers – who bless our kids with food, cake and vouchers that puts a smile on the faces of the dear little ones and their families.”
