When Nadiah first approached us for her Final Year Project (FYP) last year, it initiated an interesting discussion and collaborative process on how arts and design could be used to tie in with our social cause of preventing intergeneration offending. Back then, she was an undergraduate pursuing a degree in Visual Communications in Nanyang Technological University’s School of Art, Design & Media.
Fast forward to now, her FYP is ready! Named ‘Nammi’s Mummy’, Nadiah created a pop-up book that seeks to explain the rehabilitation process to children with incarcerated parents. It is also used as an aid for caregivers to facilitate conversations with the children about the topic and was recently displayed at the NTU ADM Show 2021 in May. We are proud of you, Nadiah!
