CARE Network Summit 2021: The Next Horizon

CARE Titan Raymond

ISCOS is happy to be part of the CARE Network Summit 2021 that took place in mid-July! Prior to the three-day virtual summit, our Titan Raymond was featured on social media to share his story and how family support played a critical part in his journey of transformation.

We are thankful to CARE Network for inviting our representatives to be part of the panelists in the virtual sessions over the duration of the event — it was a great opportunity to engage participants and fellow panelists alike on various aspects of reintegration, a topic close to all of our hearts.

In particular, the representatives also shared their reflections with us:

Yun Luo (ISCOS Titan) as Desistor Guest Speaker on “Understanding Ex-Offenders’ Profiles”: “It was a great opportunity to able to share my past experience. I was also inspired by Mr Robin’s sharing on how we can better relate to those we are helping, so as to keep them engaged.”

Rudy (from Training & Employment team) as one of the Aftercare Sector Panelists on “Sustaining Employment”: “It was heart-warming to hear David and JL’s story at Privé. It was also nice to see more employers opening up their organisations to reformed offenders. I’m looking forward to working with new partners and employers who are interested to hire reformed offenders.”

Doris (Executive Director) as one of the Aftercare Sector Panelists on “The Next Horizon”: “It was a good opportunity for everyone to reflect on how we would want the aftercare industry to look like in 10 years and how we can all work towards that. For me, it’s about having a clearer vision for the community at large on the potential ex-offenders have to contribute to the society, agencies co-owning the successes of clients and beneficiaries, and having a new wave of desistors and Titans who charge new paths for others to follow.”

We believe in the power of collaboration and look forward to another fruitful year of working together to give second chances.
