From late August to early September, we delivered another round of Family Steady Packs (FSP) to 105 families affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Each pack contained items such as grocery vouchers, masks, hand sanitisers and financial assistance.

Here’s a sharing from our staff who assisted with the deliveries:

“As we started most of the deliveries in the morning, I didn’t get to see the children much, but those that I did see were happy and some even yelled their thanks while I walked to the lift lobby from their homes. The beneficiaries were very grateful to IRF for looking out for them during this time – while I had to decline their invitation to go in and have a chat because of the many deliveries that needed to be done, we managed to catch up while they were receiving and signing the acknowledgement forms. Many of them missed the face-to-face interactions and just needed someone to talk to.

Some shared how this has been a difficult time and how they have been surviving, while others mentioned that they were trying to replenish their masks and it was timely to receive the Steady Pack. Quite a number of them were pleasantly surprised by the Sheng Siong voucher and mentioned that they had an outlet near their house – one family even sent me the receipt of their purchase afterwards!”
