Starting from 1 July 2017, ISCOS becomes one of the disbursing agencies for STSPMF, a community project initiated by The Straits Times in 2000 to provide pocket money to children from low-income families to help them through school.
The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund has disbursed more than $55 million since its inception and helped over 150,000 cases of children and youth in providing them with monthly school pocket money.
With this new appointment, we hope that more children of ex-offenders from low-income families, including those under the Fairy Godparent Programme (FGP) can apply through ISCOS and benefit from the Fund.
