ISCOS Chairman Mr Vernon Khoo shared key accomplishments for 2013 during the 24th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on 19 May 2014 at the Singapore Anti-Narcotics Association (SANA). A total of 86 members attended the AGM.
Mr Khoo reported that a total of 2,908 beneficiaries received various forms of assistance from ISCOS. Out of this pool, 717 members benefited from subsidised training through the Skills Assistance Subsidy Scheme, or SASS, and 1,176 beneficiaries were supported by the YRF-ISCOS Fairy Godparent Programme. The rest benefited from other initiatives such as job placements, support groups, mentoring and Gift of Hope packages.
“The outreach in 2013 demonstrates our commitment to providing better programmes and services to our members and their families. In 2014, members can look forward to new initiatives such as the SOAR Programme for their training and employment needs,” said Mr Khoo.
At the end of the session, a simple cake-cutting ceremony was held in celebration of ISCOS’ 25th Anniversary.
