We had a wonderful Virtual Tri-Event with our beneficiaries on 6 September 2020!

Aptly themed “My Family and the Digital World”, the session covered one of the most common modern-day problems: the growing prevalence of online activities. Here, parents and children learnt about the dangers of excessive internet/social-media usage, gaming addiction and cyber bullying as well as ways to deal with these prevailing issues.

The online workshop also got the families to practice goal-setting – using materials found in their own homes, each created a graphic collage depicting their goals and a mind map for their vision as a family. To the participants’ pleasant surprise, those who submitted the top three most creative collages were also rewarded with yummy brownies delivered to their homes.

A big thank-you to The Mapping Academy for the successful adaptation from physical to visual format and more importantly, for making the event enjoyable and insightful for all the 54 families this time round!
