Singapore, 25th April 2018 – In the spirit of sharing and caring, Lickety is pleased to launch the Project HappyScoop campaign marking the brand’s first community project since its store opening in 2017. For every customer purchase from 5 May to 4 June 2018, Lickety will give a free scoop to underprivileged children and their families under the Yellow Ribbon Fund-ISCOS-Fairy Godparent Programme (FGP) to enjoy.
The campaign is a collaboration with ISCOS (Industrial and Co-operative Society Limited), a co-operative that supports ex-offenders and their dependents to rebuild their lives. Its flagship programme, the FGP, is a dedicated programme to support children of ex-offenders from low-income families, with the fundamental aim to prevent intergenerational offending through academic and pro-social initiatives.
“The heart of Lickety lies in the realm of spreading fun and happiness through sweet treats. Why not make it sweeter by extending that joy to those in need? This is our simple little way of giving back – we hope that Project HappyScoop would be a fun way for our ice-cream lovers to support a meaningful cause,” said Cassandra Riene, brand representative of Lickety.
“Thank you Lickety for having our beneficiaries in mind! The yummy treats will surely put smiles on their faces. It matters a lot for them to know that the community cares for them,” said Ms Lisa Lim, Executive Director of ISCOS.
To mark the launch, the ISCOS team will be at Lickety’s store at Bussorah Street on 5th May 2018, Saturday for a quick sharing about their social cause and work. Customers are also invited to pen down notes of motivation or encouragement, which will then be given to the children beneficiaries together with the ice cream scoops.

About Yellow Ribbon Fund-ISCOS Fairy Godparent Programme (FGP)
With the fundamental goal of preventing intergenerational offending, FGP is anchored on three major components: Student Development, Family Support and Home Environment. Under the Programme, ISCOS provides academic assistance through bursary awards, sponsored tuition and mentoring to the children of ex-offenders. We place emphasis on the importance of building strong family units through family bonding activities and parenting workshops.
Backed by the support from volunteers, we also help create conducive study corners for the children at their own homes through home reorganisation and/or painting projects. Since its inception, hundreds of children from low-income families have benefited from
our FGP initiatives. Our vision is to empower and enable the children to excel in education and become contributing members of the community.
