COVID-19 has affected all of us in one way or the other. For our members and beneficiaries, it has impacted their livelihoods as they struggled with loss of jobs, lower income and anxiety over their family’s future. Seeing their pressing needs and the severity of the situation, we initiated an online fundraising campaign named “Rebuild Lives Amidst COVID-19” on Giving.sg from April to June 2020 to help them tide over this difficult period.

Thanks to all the online and offline donations received, we were able to provide assistance to the beneficiaries affected by the pandemic, including the distribution of Family Steady Packs (FSP) and financial aid to 100 families in May 2020. Every FSP contained essential items such as hand sanitisers, masks and disinfectant solutions for the household. Our case managers have also been regularly engaging the families, checking in with them from time to time to see how they are coping and offer help where possible.

We are grateful for those who have given generously to support this initiative, namely Glencore Singapore, Neo Group Limited, Nitto Denko, T-Touch Fund and all the donors who have supported our Giving.sg campaign. We have also received several in-kind donations of essential items for the FSPs, courtesy of Contribute.sg, Duyen Cleaning Services, Eventus Group and individuals like Sammi Lim. Your contributions have in turn helped these families to fight against this pandemic! Let us be a community that supports one another through difficult times, making sure that no one is left behind.
