As part of the continuous engagement with our friends and supporters, we had a special “Visit the Prison with ISCOS” event earlier this week to offer an insightful experience to the lives behind bars, plus an overview of the rehabilitation and reintegration efforts by the Singapore Prison Service (SPS), SCORE and ISCOS.

The visitors were first mesmerised by the inmates’ human percussion and skit performances, as a prelude to the tour. They were then guided to visit the housing unit, prison cells, Visual Arts Hub (art workshops) and Art Gallery showcasing amazing works of art produced by inmates. Through this exclusive experience, many commented that they could now better relate to the challenges faced by ex-offenders and the social cause of helping them reintegrate into society, so that they can lead meaningful and productive lives after their release.
